Election Day is in:
For Thames Valley District School Board Trustee
Wards 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6
I am originally from Hamilton, Ontario. The oldest child of four from a family of modest means.
Growing up, my start in school was a difficult one. From Gr. 1—3, ‘C’s & ‘D’s’ were not unfamiliar to me. School was stressful and disheartening. It was not until Gr.4 where I developed confidence in myself because of two great teachers who saw my potential and aligned a learning environment with my style of learning. I became a straight ‘A’ student that year.
I went from being a struggling elementary school student to completing my last year of high school at Montcalm Secondary School. Acquired a Bachelor’s in Psychology from King’s University College. A Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counselling in the U.S., and now currently working towards an MBA.
Served as the Director and Vice Chair of the Block Parents
Past Vice Chair of the Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression Advisory Committee with the City of London.
Counselling intern with the Elgin Counselling and Mediation Centre
Phone volunteer with the London Distress Centre.
Past President, Vice President & Director at Large with Carriage Park Estates Condo Board
King’s University College Employee Negotiations Team Member
King’s University College Student Council Vice-President
Currently, I work for King’s University College as a Residence Manager, ensuring that our first-year residence students complete their year successfully, safely, and purposefully.
I am a very proud father of a 12-year-old (photo – my five year old favourite) who brightens everyone’s day with her smile!
In campaigning for Trustee, know that I have a vested interest in seeing all children succeed. I understand a parent’s concerns regarding their children’s education, their future success and ultimately, our city’s future.
I am not a politician. I am a fellow Londoner of 20 years, a neighbour and parent who cares about our community, and my commitment will begin and end with the privilege of serving as your Trustee to positively influence the direction of our education system to develop our leaders of tomorrow.
In this election, Wards 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 must pick two new representatives to serve you on the Thames Valley School Board of Trustees.
This October 24, I ask for your vote to represent you.
